We are pleased to be showing 8 Borders, 8 Days, a film about the consequences of closing America’s doors to families fleeing war. With no answer to her application for resettlement in the US, and every other path to safety closed off, a smuggler’s raft to Europe was the only way out for a single Syrian mother. 8 Borders, 8 Days is her story; the intimate details of why a fiercely-determined mother is willing to risk her children’s lives for a better future and an immersive experience of their eight-day journey to safety.
The event will be held on Friday 24th November at 7pm at the Trinity Centre in Louth, Lincolnshire. Tickets are sold on the door (£5) with proceeds going to the Greater Lincolnshire Area of Sanctuary‘s Sanctuary Breaks scheme. To thank Trinity for their support, please also bring along a non-perishable food item for donation to their Community Larder.
Free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, too!
To reserve your place, please RSVP on the event page or contact the group.
