The Greater Lincolnshire Area of Sanctuary (GLAoS) is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a Bishop of Lincoln Social Justice Fund grant. This money has enabled us to fund a part-time Sanctuary Breaks Coordinator post for one year. The newly appointed coordinator, Heather Luna, is tasked with expanding the scheme, which matches asylum seekers and refugees living outside the Lincolnshire area with host families within the area. Guests enjoy short breaks to practice their English, experience the British culture, and make lifelong friends. The scheme addresses social isolation and promotes cultural sharing and diversity.
